Removal of Bankruptcy From Public Records

Removal of Bankruptcy From Public Records

Letter to “Ask Leon”

What can you do to remove the fact that you have filed for Bankruptcy but it has been cleared from your public record? How do you or change the notification of a Judgment?

Leon Says…

Bankruptcy will stay on your credit record for 10 years. If it has been more than 10 years, notify the credit bureau and they will delete it. Normally it drops off automatically when the time is up.
